How long does the whole process take? How long can I extend it for (L type tourist visa)? Also, where do I go? Just any PSB office? Where in Beijing?
13 years 17 weeks ago in Visa & Legalities - Beijing
The fastest is 24 hours (visa run). but cost a little more PSB... i am not sure if you will get it in 24 hours i wated 4 days at PSB
you need to go to the PSB with all the required documents . if your documents are as par the regulations then they will accept it and you can go home .this doesn't need even 15 minutes .
you have to leave your passport there//
they will need a week to process it ..this is what happens in wuhan
Shanghai took a week last Fall, plus 980RMB for a USA citrizen on L visa.
Normally it takes 5 working days to get your resident permit in Chengdu
L visas can be extended two times without having to exit China, however receiving more than 30 days each extension is dependant on your current financail abilities. The entry exit office of Beijing is where you need to go. It will take 5 working days. If the processing officer is there, he or she will ask a few questions about why you want to stay longer and make it clear not to work on said visa. After your 2 extensions you will be required to exit out side of China.
There are agencies that can help, but in all honesty, as much as they charge, it's cheaper to do a Hong Kong run. The changing of a visa is 9000 to 12000 rmb, it's cheaper and faster to return to your home country and apply.
