Over a month now. I send them packages and see them on webcma, but its not the same.

Owen and Andy missed me at first. The first week I was gone, Andy suddenly started trying to walk and talk. I got an amazing voice recording of him saying "Baba" - he never said audible words before I left.

But they are two young brothers, so they have eachother to play with. They'll get by.

Arranging immigration is going at the pace I expected. Slower than my wife had hoped. I'll see them again in September at the earliest.

Hi,

I understand you must feel lonely without them, but try not to think about it that way. I´m away from my family for almost 11 months now, but true, I don´t have kid. Many of my friends are away from their husbands/wifes/kids for two or three years.

During the time your wife and son are away, off course you should contact them everyday (if the time difference allows it).

To keep yourself busy, it depends on your hobbies - do you have any? Reading books, doing some sports, anything you had to reduce after starting your family life. It´s good time to enjoy doing what you like but don´t have time normally. You can also do something usefull... you mentioned the house... Does some room need to repaint walls? Make some new arrangement in your kid´s room...

You will surely not feel bored and you will for sure surprise your wife and your son when they come back...

I have been wife my wife for about 10 years now. We have been married for 5. And out of those 10 years, we have been actually physically together for about half of them.

But,Consider yourself lucky RobRocks. My wife and daughter will be off to the UK for a month soon, and like yourself I need to work so I am staying here...... BUT...... I will still have the mother in law in the house .

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
