KFC its the bomb shell for doing business in . chinese like to eat them alot its becoming a part of there modern culture as well you can see alot of local burger shop they are also doing good but KFC Is on top because its american. chinese have craze to like american things and stuff thats why.
another thing is its cheaper for them i guess. they get alot of deal in it , they print out many coupons on weekends having lovely and delicious deals in it . also they can take out the coupons on metro subway station card saving 1 to 4 yuan on every deal.... the same is for McDonald as well. its delicious because of its crispy juicy taste. easy to ready and fast to eat it... school children prefer it. icecreams are good on sale in summer bearing taste to apprecitate it.

KFC was here long before McDonalds.

Plus, there are cultural reasons Chinese do not like beef so much.

I'm not sure what the hell "lustful taste" is, but probably the reason it's so popular is that it's quick, good-tasting, and the fact that there is a KFC on every street corner, next to the Wowo of course. (Not sure if they buit them so close to each other because of stupidity on the part of the franchise owners or what, but they never lack for business...) People want something quick to eat,, so they walk 4 meters to the nearest KFC.. and many of them are open 24 hours a day so that aids in the popularity, especially here in Chengdu. And FYI there is no "Merican" marketing techniques employed.. it's 100% Chinese advertising.

I read an article on BBC, that a couple in a big city were on a low income, so their apartment was not exactly luxurious. So when they had guests they wanted to treat, they took them to the KFC instead of taking them home.

KFC is seen as a reputable restaurant and so the couple were able to dine with their guests and maintain face.
