Was I wrong?
Troll posted online. And I didn't ignore him. I posted this answer which prevented the thread from dying. Was I wrong?
I fell off my bike about 2 years ago,my tire slipped on the road as I went around a corner.people just looked at me and not one person helped.
so you did the right thing
I wouldn't say you did the right thing, but perhaps the only thing you could do.
Well, congratulations!
You have lost a tiny bit of your soul. You know if people REALLY do need your help... you could just turn on your phone cam and ask them if you did anything wrong before you help them.
Like "ni mei shi ma? wo mei cuo le... dui bu dui?"
"Are you okay? I didn't do anything, right or wrong?"
If they want your help, they will say "dui dui dui, ni mei cuo le..." Then you help them.
If not (or they are trying to cheat you), they will probably not answer or tell you to screw off. Unless they are unconscious, in which case you should flag another Chinese person down (if you can't speak Chinese) and call the cops or ambulance.
Problem solved and you didn't lose a shred of your humanity.

Lol. Or they could do what a lot of other people do - and blame the first person that comes to help. That's the ultimate paradox of the question, no? The fact that a lot of victims feign their problem, and blame the first foolish person that comes to help. If the incident happens to unfold in this classic pattern of which many others have, then what is having it on film going to do for your case? When the victim says "You hit me, call the ambulance" then the film is only going to work against you.
Robk:
Then you delete it and just walk away.
You didn't actually even start helping them yet, so best to just walk away.
You are neither wrong nor right.
Nobody is going to judge you; it all depends on you.
Can you find someone in real life to talk? That may help you.
