I don't understand why some foreigners have to share some of their weird practices then scream when they see locals eating chicken feet.
Good, I'm glad China is catching up. i tried to promote pantless Fridays at work. Eat chicken feet, do you know what that chicken was walking in and you put in mouth?
I don't think it is. This is a far more conservative society and things like this can be considered not quirky, but disrespectful to the elderly etc.... the older Chinese particularly don't understand this as a sense of humour.
Just curious Ted, what happened when you tried to implement pantless Fridays? I bet it was the first and the last attempt. I will never try eating chicken feet either. And as long as the locals wont tie my hands and stick it in my mouth, i wont dare show my butt and legs to them. respect begets respect.
I saw some pictures of the No Pants Subway Ride in Shanghai, Chinese people were staring like crazy. They probably thought that there was something wrong with those foreigners. This is so far from what the Chinese are use to do that no wonder they were staring with confusion in their eyes.
This can of Subway Ride can work in more civilized cities, like New York, where thousands of people go without pants for this one, and it is just hilarious. Here, it is just weird.
