It struck me today. I went into a Bistrot and played a little game of pinball, and suddenly I realized, after all my time there, I have never seen a single pinball machine in China.
It makes sense, since there are no pubs like in Europe, and they're only starting to install foosball tables in some bars. Plus the situation China was in during the gold age of Pinball machines, I'm guessing getting them wasn't their main priority.
But still, has anyone ever seen a pinball machine in China? Did they actually have them like everyone else?

You're right, I've never seen one either. I've been to several gaming arcades....the most popular games seem to be the rhythm games (dancing, drums, other music), safari shooting type games (plants vs zombies, the aquarium fish shooting games, etc), and some kind of chintzy copy of Street Fighter type games.
Maybe the pinball machines just can't stand up to the type of abuse they would receive here...
Never seen one myself, but then again even in the UK they're as rare as Hen's teeth!
There was a pool hall/bar in Beijing many moons ago that had six pinball machines. The real problem is the expense in buying them (even refurbished units are incredibly expensive), shipping them here (most are made in U.K/U.S.A), and most of all - maintaining them.
Remember how often your favorite table was decorated with an 'Out of Order' sign? I doubt there are any qualified pinball machine techs in China.
