Q: Question about incense

I see a number of different varieties in many of the department stores here, and I like to use it for, um, "atmospheric" reasons in my apartment. But, I've been told by the chain-smoking natives that incense is toxic. Is that true, or is that just a silly idea planted by they who shall not be mentioned to discourage the religious activities which use it? What's the truth?

And be careful, Cubby will be here soon to tell you that there's nothing wrong with inter-family relations ok? (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

Which poses more risk: the smell of weed or incense?

I guess it all boils down to the purity of the wood and/or fragrance added. Too much inhalation of any residual burning material is not good for you.

Dagnabbit. After reading that, I kind of have no choice but to stop using incense as much as I had been.

Head down to your local temple and buy it there. All sizes to be found.

But it would be easier just to wash your socks if the smell is that bad:-)

And what are "natives" by the way. Did you travel to here on a time machine from a time long gone?

Seriously though. The temple is your best bet.

Thanks for the advice. And, I am nothing if not old-fashioned in my ways and speech.

Incense?

I thought that was the surname of a guy called Frank who always appeared in the nativity plays at school?

What you heard is correct. Many chemical based incense can be toxic.

Search for herbal or organic ones.
