Q: Recognising narcissistic personality disorder

My mother has narcissistic disorder. I grew up with little patience because of dealing with her. I'm serious here.
The GF I write to does not answer questions often. I don't ask many. But even little questions often get unanswered. I use a translator to write to her and she does the same. I do not like to reapeat myself.
Does the GF have a bit of narcissitic disorder or is it just a culture or language thing. I know Chinese seems very simple. Or do I just need long winded answers to understand?

I have thes problem too. Many times, quesions will be unaswered, not just ignored but treated as if they were never made.  It can be frustrating.

to be honest i think society here causes many women here to have the disorder. those behaviors you describe are common. you must search long and hard for a woman who is different

its not culture or language, they are careful about what questions they answer , it seems everything is about deception here

crimo...I think you hit the nail on the head! Deception and outright lies.....and just ignoring questions they don't like.

In my experience anything they do not want to answer, they will avoid at all costs.  My favorite is after a question she says "no why" as her way of saying she will not answer.  They are an enigma wrapped in a riddle, and will say whatever they think they need to, to string you along....be very careful.

The dreaded "no why". It is like the equally dreaded western version: "because!"

This English is so mess...what do you want to say?..how do you gf answer you with a mess mind like yourself?...

Chinese girls don't like to answer questions which sound ridiculous and unreasonable....

crimochina:

do you have a boyfriend? what do you do for fun? these are unreasonable questions?

TedDBayer:

My questions are not much, certainly not unreasonable If you had a brain you would know that the questions just do not register. Remember I'm white so woman is treated well. My English is fine and my mind is great. I have a very high IQ. You'd never match wits with me.
I'm sorry that you can't get a white guy and you're so sour. Get over it and quit posting your mindless dribble.

I like a snowy Happy new year, rather than a no sky one...Beijing's time to ban the cars---the only solution for the time being...

It is because they are disrespectful and unprofessional. For example you ask a question by SMS, they will not answer and ignore it, but if they ask you a question then you need to answer ASAP or they will say in a SMS 5 min. later. " Why you don't answer?"

Here they call it "Face thing". I call them "freaking retards." who loose more face then gain some.

It's all in education.

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
