You know, a place where Chinese people can vent and complain about Americans and living in the US.
And then some Chinese-speaking Americans could join too to defend themselves.
Cuz criticism of America isn't really a big deal or unique...it's called mainstream media...but I'd love to see a ejapancities or ezimbabwecites for China....that'd be interesting
there is a website for this, in english its called "apple forum" you have to type it in chinese i suppose, when you get to the forum its got categories like living in england, living in usa, living in canada etc and people discuss their few little problems and how great their life is outside of china.
the whole website is in chinese but im sure it is full of optimistic posts just like echinacities.
ambivalentmace:
i was just told the website does not work in china, only from the country where you are a student, i guess the chinese government does not want all those happy comments known on the mainland.
Englteachted:
What irony a wumao asking this question that reveals the CCP actually bans those site in the mainland.
there is a moving to ...... that is in English
there are useful posts for most countries
it takes a while to get replies but there is no spam

Anyone in America can complain openly and Americans complain about America more than anyone. Chinese don't have much if anything to complain about, fair court system that is accessible to anyone, fair business culture (contracts are enforceable), employers actually pay their employees (ontime), Chinese are not stared at and treated rudely, Chinese are not blamed for all of America's problems...
So what exactly should Chinese in foreignland complain about?
Englteachted:
Americans don't defend what's wrong in America, we openly com[plain about it.
ScotsAlan:
When I complain about America I am called an America basher :-)
Daredevil:
Maybe they can complain about Americans treating them differently to how they're treated back home?
dom87:
in china they are treated as gov. property or causelity. in america they are treated as humans.
Guess still nothing to complain
Mateusz:
When Jon Stewart or John Oliver complain about America, they're called celebrity comics.
Englteachted:
Mat: You're an idiot, they are comics. And they're not the only ones complaining.
There are lots of laowai hating forums. Some are pretty extreme and funny. I used to go to one call fan dan lao wai (or something like that) for a laugh but they changed domain and i couldn't find it again. Some classic shit there.
There are immigration forums in the UK where people openly talk about how to beat the visa system. Not as.good as sex on a 30 day visa.
