Q: Is there any real cheese in China for sale?

I found some 3 packs of real Swiss cheese at Walmart once, sorry i only bought 2, lately they are almost out of cheese slices. i haven't seen any real cheese any where for sale in Guilin. Where can/do you find cheese? It's weird that the Chinese never had cheese, it'd be great on chicken feet. Then I've never seen any dairy cattle here, not running around my city.

If you have a Metro Supermarket, they have cheese. They even have pepper jack at the one in Changsha. I;m not sure about Guilin, but there is a pretty good import store in Yangshuo that has cheese. But I'm sure whatever they have in Yangshuo you can find in Guilin. If you get care packages from home, ask for velveeta cheese; the stuff never goes bad :)

Until you eat it, yuck!....real cheese > no cheese > velveeta

I've ever bought some cheese for my Canadian friend, and he said the  cheese is the real one.

TedDBayer:

Do you want another Canadian friend? I'm easy, cheese is cheaper than iPad.

TB: the best way to get Canadian cheddar is to start export-import business

How about searching taobao?? May be they have fake Canadian cheddar if not the original one.

They have "cheese" at Wal-mart (sometimes, but not always), but it isn't good. I would not buy any "cheese" there.

taobao . buying cheese , no way, it needs refrigeration, it'd be a puddle in a bag by the time it got here, if it got here. I don't like to buy anything I can't touch when I buy it.

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
