IMO people have had enough of being treated as cattle.
People want things kept simple .
enough of the smoke and mirrors .
Trump has being saying what looks like the majority have been thinking.
So now will political parties all over the world open their eyes and their minds?

Hillary was just such a shitty candidate. She took $25,000,000 from the Saudis, which pretty much is as good as legitimizing them as a ruling power.
Saudi Arabia. Ruled by a King. Kills homosexuals, Atheists, apostates. Tortures and murders pro-democracy protestors. Supports ISIS.
Trump may be a strategically shaved orangutan but at least he isn't as duplicitous as Hillary.

The lobbyists, pollsters, journalists all look look like fools today.
They make a living convincing a politician they can get them elected, some campaign managers take 15 percent of contributions as a salary for running a campaign.
They are going to have a hard time getting a job in the future, when Trump did not use any till the very end and spent less than anybody in recent history to get elected.
This is going to cause nightmares in the political class for years and its about damn time.
what they don't know yet, was Trumps numbers would have beaten Obama in 2012.

You (well, the persons responsible for your last link) know that the stats don't really mean much.. yes?
If Trump went against Obama, the numbers would look very different. Clinton copped a LOT of flak for emails and corruption, etc etc. People deliberately didn't vote for Clinton, and thus for Trump.
Trump vs anybody else would have different figures....
philbravery:
so are you saying that the message to politicians is there was nothing in what Trump said that the population was thinking?
Clinton won more of the actual votes (aka 'popular vote') - granted, by only a very small margin (and, I've heard, this election had the lowest voter turnout in years!)
Trump got to power because of the US electoral system, not quite so much because of 'being treated like cattle'.
Lowest turnout, though, does indicate a large amount of apathy in the US election process, and if not the two candidates themselves, at least with the party system in general.
Remember - the USA is not the pinnacle of democracy that they want to force on the world. And, by extension, is not truly representative of the true feelings of the people of the US as a whole.

the real count may tell a different story, the popular vote total for clinton was because she got 75 percent in california, one very populated state that has nothing in common with most other states.
