Q: Visa almost expire, need to renew for student visa

Hi, i arrived in china on 3-april-2014, my visa have a 90 days stay after arrival and so it will expire in 2 days from now (july 2 i think), i came to china to visit and go to guanzhou fair with my dad, but since a son of my dad friend came to study chinese so i joined him, normally the school will help me to get 1 year of visa but when i went and asked them about my visa renewal on may(i went 3 times, all of them asking me to come in different times), they said that my visa still have a lot of days left or wasnt near expiration day so they asked me to come on friday june 27 2014( i know it have been 3 days since then) one of the requeriment was a medical check up, i did it on thursday june 26 but i didnt know it would take up so much time to get the results (i will get them on wednesday july 2, the day my visa expire) so my problem now is:

1. if all go right and i apply for a new student visa on july 2 or july3, during my visa apply time still count as illegal stay?   how long will it take to get my student visa? around 4 days? how much does express service cost?

 2. do i get a fine of 500 rmb per day or its after 10 days after my visa expirate?

3.should i apply for a extended visa stay before applying for student visa? (i think i have got all the document nessesary but if i got some document wrong for my student visa, it would take me more time to apply for new visa)

4.what do you suggest me to do? will there be anymore problems than mentioned above?

i couldnt do medical check up 10 days before expiration day because i was having chinese school exam that week.

So, what you're saying is that you take absolutely no responsibility for your own situation and now that things are critical, you're looking for the visa fairy to come and wave her magic wand and absolve you of any further responsibility?

minimi:

Did i ever say that? i explained my situation, im asking what is the possible outcome i might get, i just want information, in no way or part have i asked a way to avoid the fine/or anything that may come, i just want information. If you cant then dont come here acussing me of something i havent done/said.

Sinobear:

Re-read your own post. You took no responsibility to procure a legal visa on your own. You came to visit Daddy, changed your mind and want to stay. You want everyone else to chime in and untangle the knot you made for yourself ('Boo hoo, I didn't know the results would take so long!'). Did you inquire ahead of time ('Boo hoo! I had exams!') what would be required and how long each step would take?

Why don't you just ask Daddy to fix everything for you?

First i came to china with my dad, second its the thruth that i thought the examination wouldnt take that long (what do you want me to do, tell a lie like they told me late? i was just telling the truth, i did not ask for someone to solve all this , if so point me out in my question where did i ever say or wanted someone to solve this dumbass), third  im not asking the school to solve my visa just because im in problems, its because for a student visa I need some document privided by the school,(You took no responsibility to procure a legal visa on your own) even if i went to make my visa alone i would still need the school documents since im applying for a stundent visa either way i would have to contact the school (they still want me to come 5 days before my visa expired), four this forum was created for help if someone got troubled (still i was just asking for information, i in no mean or part have ever said or asked someone to solve my problem), if no for what kind of reason would this forum have been created.

And lastly, you are 10 years old or a retard, if is the last one, you should go and have a brain check, maybe you have a terminal dissease.

It is, I am pretty sure that officially you must go back to your home country in order to apply for a Student Visa at the embassy over there. However (as always in China) if your school's principal or owners have good relations with local officials or local police officers they can bribe someone at the local PSB and get you a Student Visa without having to leave the country.

Ask them whether or not they can get you a visa here and now, if they say yes good for you, otherwise enjoy your trip back home before coming back.

minimi:

That is no needed, the school have somewhat a special relation to the goverment since my school is for foreing to learn chinese, the only issue or what i did worng was doing the body check up late (it wasnt so late actually, i thought the examination could come within 48 hours, not that it would take 6 days). Since the school knew that from 27 july(day tey told me to go for my student visa), my visa would expirate in 5 days so im gussing that for the student visa it might take only 4 days but i might be wrong which is why i just wanted to know if i should try to extend my visa or not?

I am just telling my own experience it is not necessary that you will be lucky too...

I was on an S visa supposed to be expired on 2nd November 2013. But to renew the visa I needed some documents back form my home country. I was about 10 days late.. Applied for the renewal on 11th November. Didn't have to pay even a single kuai..

Maybe the reason was because I didn't go to the PSB myself. The institute did it themselves. You can try giving your passport to the school and just ignoring any claims for penalty charges.

Update 2 july 2014, today (the last day of my visa) i managed to apply for a new one with zero issue.

BackGround:  The last document i needed to be able to get a student visa (and of course, changing/updating my expiring visa) was a body check up results that i received today at 3:50pm (i went to get it at 3:00pm since they asked me to go get it at 4:00pm of that day but as you could have expected, it wasnt ready until 3:50pm of that day), i came back to school in taxi (because  i was running out of time), managed to get the school documents too, went to psp at 4:40pm, arrived at 5:00pm (psp close doors at 5:30), and before it closed i managed to submit all required documents and since my visa had 7 hours left, i had to pay zero fee and had zero problems. Now i have to wait 9 days to get my passport and visa back.

Thx for all the help guys.
