Q: VPN Information - Let's think before we speak.

Yesterday I replied to a question about free VPN... Today, however,it is not able to connect. Bearing in mind I have NOT had any problems with it previously... I really feel that we should keep what we know to those who already know and not disclose it - especially to 'new' posters.

You should know better by now than to publish anything here that the wumao's can report straight back to headquarters
The surest way to get something blocked is to print it here.
Everything you say here is analysed and filed or acted upon
I don't care if I say anti Chinese things because I do not intend going back to that corrupt self serving sh#t hole anytime soon but you have to live there
In future use the PM system or email and you will have more of a chance to stay off the radar
Good luck to you

For protocols, OpenVPN > PPTP.

People who use PPTP are being actively spied on by the the Chinese government, and the U.S. government. Don't be a derper. Don't bother using anyone who is exclusively PPTP.

And I agree with teggsnose. Expat forums are monitored by the CCP for VPNs so they can ban access to them.

You know what's funny? I once shared my choice VPN with one member of this forum. Within two days, 90% of the addresses were banned. Coincidence? I think not. Thanks, Obama!

It's happened to me too, you post/read some advice then suddenly 80-90% of your servers are down and the best you get from customer support is "oh, sorry but it's on China's side".

If you want to know does a VPN work in China and what can it help you do then fine, we will give all the info you need but we're not going to be naming names. You want to know the best provider or the cheapest of the most reliable then go to an expat bar and ask around there in person face to face.

I got both my free VPN's from reading this site.  Both are still working just fine, you all.

And who the devil is Charles Xu?
