Fairly easy.
First, go to your embassy and get a marriage form, it will state that you are not legally married in your home country.
You then take it and your future wife/husband to the Capital of their Province, and apply for a marriage certificate at the same place that the Chinese citizens do. Depending on what country you are from, they will have some things for you to do to ensure you are not married in your home or any other country.
After your marriage, have a translated copy for your embassy of proof of marriage and registar it at your embassy. This will make any future attempts on her travelling with you abroad easier. Along with tax purposes and so on
Martin, have you had some bad experiences with Chinese girls, don't scare the man. Besides divorce is easy, you go to the same place you got married and agree to split things 50 50 and they cancel your marriage certificate. Either party can ask for marriage support for up to 2 years if you feel things can work out. If you go to court, the judge will award the woman 50% of your assets in China, so be sure to sign a pre nump if you do want to get married, It's the new thing in China for alot of the Chinese girls do not work, or not work much and will hide their money so if they have to go to court the only thing showing will be your bank account. That being said, if the girls bank account is well stacked, you will get 50%. If you have a house though, the woman will get 50% regardless on how long you've been married. Children automatically go to the mother until the age of 12 when the child can make their own decision. If you have a child, you will be required to pay 1200rmb monthly for support. Also keep in mind, once you go to your embassy and apply for your marriage ability and marry in China, you are legally married in your home country.
