I use Paypal. Takes about 2 minutes. Just need to set it up.
Rin:
Can you use a bank of China debit card to set it up now? I always had trouble before. No problems with my English debit card, but no money in that now after three years in China! :D
DaqingDevil:
Rin, the Bank of China does not support Paypal. I opened a Construction Bank account and put my salary in there now. This bank supports Paypal and there are a couple of others that do as well.
I also opened a Chinese Paypal account. To send money to my Australian bank takes me about 5 minutes online. The transfer from the Construction to the Chinese Paypal takes 2 minutes, but no money ever ends up in that Chinese Paypal account. It's really just a medium through which the transfer is made.
It sounds complicated but once you have this all set up it really is super quick and simple.
I send money to the Philippines regularly this way as well as I also set up a Philippines Paypal Eon account.
there are banks in philippines that use the union pay logo from the banks in china,
many filipinos working in china set up a 2nd account and mail the card to the relatives to draw the salary from china and send home.
Last year, when I wanted to put a deposit down on a hotel/resort room in the Philippines, I sent money using Western Union. It seems there are a lot of Western Union locations in the Philippines, and the money transfer was handled completely online (albeit, from my American bank account).
DaqingDevil:
Yeah Cooter...Western Union, Pinays and foreigners = the Philippines.
