Q: What celebrities have you seen in China
I was in Lido (Beijing) a few weeks ago and saw Ai Wei Wei and his family walk by in the mall there! He was my first "celebrity" sighting since coming to China. I was tempted to ask for a photo with him, but ultimately chose not to because I didn't want to disturb him.
Has anyone else ever run into some famous person while living here?

The way that people stare at me when I enter a restaurant or simply walking down the street, one would think that I was their first celebrity sighting in China!
But yes, I have seen a few famous folks from Hunan T.V., which is very popular nationwide. One was that comedian guy with the black glasses. Many times he carries a fan as a prop. I'm not sure about his name...

i met that dude too..he is the coolest chinese dude i ever met...........actually planning to invite him on the national holidays for a party or two in my city

Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Diane Von Furstenburg, Victoria Beckham, Marc Jacobs, Keanu Reeves lived in the same building as me, usually hang out with Chloe Sevigny when she is in Beijing.
And a ton of obnoxious Chinese celebrities.
I've seen Weng Hong in Hong Kong in a grand opening of a make-up shopping center in the new teriritory..went there with some friends not for me personally.....not a make-up fan
I do but I just do not care about them. What has it to do with me for them to be famous?
