SInce there is no real helpful nutritional information on food packages nor do I usually know what actually goes into most of the restaurant food I was wondering what are some fairly healthy common foods that I could find easily.
If you cook your own food, using minimal oil and salt, it's probably the healthiest food you will eat here.
Vegetables is probably the way forward. The culture here is to serve everything swimming in oil. The reason being oil is expensive and the restaurant wants you to feel you are getting value for money!
Traveler:
Vegetables are usually contaminated by pollutants in the soil, chemicals used in insecticides, and chemicals sprayed on by farmers to make the food look fresher.
there are so many delicious fruits here as well - summer fruits in particular
The nutrition facts on potato chips or crackers or what have you is UNREAL!! I bought some crackers that supposedly gave like 20 grams of protein, however back home chips and crackers basically have 0 protein, so I guess here they have some magical beef crackers.
You could try the dairy milk it comes from a cow...orange juice comes from oranges and you know.....there is that white sticky thing called rice helps you go to the bathroom easier..
Grow your own vegetable, feed up your own animals for eatting is the healthiest.
I am planing grow vegetable in my room.
Traveler:
By the sounds of it, there is already one vegetable growing there.
WTF am I reading? nutritional info in veggies, fruits and fresh meat? Oh that's right, you are a lazy fat laowai who only knows how to eat processed food.
abundant fruits and vegies no doubt...... then I get a fish flipping family doesn't understand a "no bone" fish though
The food isn't good for you , eat the packing, less contaminated.
