Q: What comes first in China - the good job or the mate?

and is it a 100% thing, irrespective of sex?

The good job because if the good mate is really a good mate they will understand.

haha this question must have been designed for me as its an issue for me right now...

Its a bit of both. But I will say that it lays more on the side of the job. With as many movies as there are out their where the couple gives up everything to escape to a nice life together, you cant stop girls from dreaming.

But then you look at the divorce rate and wonder why. Because it takes more than just love to make it work. And even though money isnt everything, you gotta remember that financial pressure strains marriages a lot (often ending bad).

So should you choose one over the other? Not all all. You have to maintain both. But putting your partner over your job will cost you something, and putting the job first will cost you in your relationship. But its something that must be talked about, because in the long run you job will be providing you financially. But if you just focus too much on your job you will push your gf/bf away and that distance can be detrimental.

In the end its all a balance with highs and lows for  both relationships or work. And clear communication of goals is necessary to achieve that

With money, you can find/buy "love".
With love, you can... love.
Take a guess which comes first here.

While we have the obvious answer for here in China, I'd say the smart money should be love.... getting a job is easy... and losing a job is easy. You can't really say the same about marriage (just gf/bf - yes, of course! But marriage partner...)

Good job of course!
Here in china, with the good job, you get the good wife. And, with the good wife, you progress and advance in your good  job, so eventually you can afford the "Second Wife"!
It all  hinges on that first good job however...wink
