Walk in to the clinic and point out your problem that you have. Luckily my wife is Chinese so if an item the dr cannot understand the wife translates.

I think that is what you are talking about?

When I am in the dental chair I grab a hold of his testicles and tell him that if he does not hurt me, then I will not hurt him

Funny you should post this Question

I just bought my plane ticket to Harbin today

The dentist here in Brisbane wants $1800 to fix one tooth

so I bought a plane ticket return for $850 Aus

the dentist will be about $200 Aus

so I get the tooth fixed and a break in China instead of the Australian Dentist getting the holiday

Try going to clinics that are associated with universities. For example, I'm in Guangzhou and I go to the Sun Yat Sen's affiliated clinic. The prices are reasonable and they do quality work. The dentist who helped me, speaks some English and was very helpful. And also, the interns there can speak at least some English so they can help you out.

And if I remember correctly there is a separate department with English speaking staff. Don't know about the prices there though.
