Some good some bad just like any other society. Some people are corrupt others are not. That's how I see it. If your good than the lifestyle is easy and nice if your corrupt your constantly watching your back and it's not healthy.
I am a true believer that each person, or the society of each country, is totally free to have the lifestyle they would enjoy and want. And if I happen to be living in that country, it would be my hope that they would respect my lifestyle (if different from theirs) as I would respect theirs.
After all, life is hard enough without having lifestyles forced down our throats.
Family certainly appears to be much more important than back home, which is nice. The family unit is something people are always keen to talk about, many young men I speak to even voice their desire to be fathers. However, when it comes to personal freedoms I think that there's much to be thankful for by not being Chinese.
Not bad for the most part. It'd be nice if they didn't get really drunk at lunch on a work day. Or play computer games at work. Or chat on QQ at work. But, hey, your country. When your economy bottoms out from 0 productivity among office workers, I can just leave, and I'm sure you'll blame America Country Obama.
