I really like this vegetable and I wanted to recommend it to my family. As far as what I could find, it's bok choy? Some sites say it is Chinese white cabbage, but I think bok choy is simply a variety of that. Does anybody know for sure? If it is bok choy, is it the same variety as the kind you can find in America? I used to dislike leafy green vegetables, but even I have to admit this is is tasty. Do you like qing cai?
I love that veggie. Bok choy is the name we have used in english for a long time, but I think that the word 'bok choy' comes from korean language.
The english name is rape, and since no one wants to "have their rape and eat it too," it just works better sticking with bok choy.
Baby bok choy, which is, indeed, young Bok Choy, which changes its taste and texture as it grows older.
