Q: What happened to all of the web designers?
Currently live in Beijing, tried advertising on numerous sites for a professional web designer and find everything but that.
I'm approaching it from the point of view of a layman who knows very little regarding web design, but these so called "web designers" continuously ask me for more information and supposed templates. I don't know how it works but part of me keeps on thinking "is this not your job?"
Any pointers on how to best approach this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Try applying at ECC ..God knows they need all the help they can get.
On a side note I see Ecc has desided to remove my CV ...lol

they say that once you post a cv it is theirs and you can not delete it . you can supposedly hide it but the only thing you can do is make it so unreadable or offensive it is no good to them. by the way this answer was deleted but i re posted it . Bet it is gone again soon..I think someone is worried about their employment

Thank you for your response philbravery, but I think you may have been misinformed. We do allow users to delete resumes and have never said that once you post your resume it becomes our property, nor is it true that users cannot request removal of a resume.
Users can ALWAYS send a removal request to cs@echinacities.com as long as you provide your user name so that the customer service representative can find the resume. Since seeing philbravery's comment we have reassured this policy (which has always been the policy here) by informing our customer service representive about the concerns raised by the post.
If you don't want to delete your resume and think you may use it later, simply make it invisible with the on-site features.

@Admin, actually you are incorrect, as you are just one in a long line of 'Admins' who seem to be replaced every few months.
according to friends who know this site better than I, posters like Phil have been unable to remove their CV's, despite asking for their removal, so have had to resort to tactics such as Phil described.
Too often on this site, the various Admins have ignored posters and refused to engage with posters other than passive/aggressive responses such as censoring and banning.
I suggest you look at the questions previous Admins have posted and the responses received.
I was banned for no reason not too long ago.
Long term posters here are more familiar with the changing tone of this website than I, but i have been here long enough to see how debate and 'unharmonius' comments and posters are dealt with.

I haven't deleted any pms, it could be an issue with the system. I'll have someone look into it and try to get it solved.

I can assure you this isn't the case. We have reinformed those working in the customer service department that deletion of resumes is both acceptable and allowed and that any such requests should be complied with.
