Q: What should I do during my last month in China?

It has been a crazy, shitty ride, but I'm finally leaving China--for good.

Any advice on how I should spend my last month here?  Things I might regret not doing once I'm back home?

I've got 2 months left, so I'm interested to see some suggestions.  I'm heading to Yunnan next week to do the tourist thing.  Hopefully there won't be any crowds in the off-season.  Who knows?  I hope it's worth it.  Also, New Year's in Hong Kong/Macau.  Anyone done that before?

My trip through the mountain towns of Yunnan/Sichuan was maybe the highlight of my stay in China.  If you end up in a little town called Daocheng, I suggest you find a hostel and spend a few days there, it's lovely.  And Dali is the tits.

Nice to hear.  I was afraid it's just a tourist trap and overrun by Chinese now.

If it were me, I would at least try to visit the Great Wall. Any part of it, but preferably a section of it that 1) isnt too busy, and 2) is still intact inwhich to take some good photos. I would alo try to visit the Forbidden City as well. Seems, if a westerner has been to China for a period of time, everyone back home will assume you went there and will be suprised if you didnt.
