Q: What time do people go to dinner in Suzhou?

Thought I'd pay Ligongdi a visit as I've read fantastic things on the internet. Got there at 6.30 pm on a Thursday night and the 1972 area was simply creepy because of the lighting or lack thereof. Some bar/restaurants had opened with or without customers whereas some hadn't. Didn't feel like being the only customer in a restaurant hence walked around. Finally decided to dine at the Italian restaurant around 7 pm and customers started showing up. Finished and left before 8 pm but the town was still pretty quiet. So what time does dinner (life) usually start in Suzhou? It just felt really lonesome dining in a quiet and dim town.

actually the thing was you started at 6.30 or 7.00 but at this time period you belongs to in between of two phases, one is routine life phase and one is night life.usually chinese peoples finished by dinner at 5-8 pm.but i dont think li gong di is best place for meal.its for enjoy night life there. If you wanna get wine and dine in suzhou then SIP and SND have many restaurants with different countries based cusines.better you choose to go to li gong di to enjoy night life.
