Q: Whats the best show to watch on smoggy China days?

I just started watching The Following. It's so intense and makes me feel less guilty about staying inside all day. But then again the air is quite bad outside i think it's wise to stay indoors or so I tell myself Wink

I loved The Following. Check out Under the Dome. Another great mystery drama.

usually if i can get my hands on anything from HBO, i am happy. Although i like to vary it with a good BBC drama.

EDIT: I should also add, Nordic TV like 'The Killing' 'Borgen' and 'Wallender' are absorbing as well

Scandinavian:

then go for the original Danish/Swedish version of "The Bridge", unless you've already seen the American adaptation, the story is 95% the same

Also a lot of UK channel 4 shows are good. Skins, Shameless, Misfits.
Also the show An Idiot Abroad. Watch the China episode. Karl Pilkington is hilarious!!

Doc Martin, very good British comedy/drama. Light hearted stuff and I find perfect to switch off to the world with.

If you are looking for something more gritty, I suggest Ripper Street, Whitechapel or The Tudors.

I have a whole raft of British stuff that I watch, it's all very different. Just depends what I feel like seeing at the time.

I download it from this place - www.tvchaosuk.com

Rin:

Doc Martins great for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Ripper street is good too. You can watch all of Doc Martin on Hulu if you have a VPN, and Ripper street you can stream on funshion.com no need for a VPN.

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
