It depends on the currency being saved. If you are saving US dollars, it is a different rate from RMB. Each bank should have their current rates posted in the lobby.

The rate at Bank of China is 3.5% interest but you can't touch your money for a year. If you choose a 2 year savings account it's 4.5%.
