When the Chinese media dominates like the US. That is a big when and we won't know if they will ever dominate or if it will happen at all. If it did however happen I would think what ever interested the Chinese audience as opposed to the US audience would be what they would make as the top-rated shows. The US audience likes certain things that the Chinese audience may not like. It's like the comedian Wong in America making jokes and people laughing. They wouldn't show him in China because they don't understand his jokes. It's not funny to them.

Good point, Mattaya. I read that somewhere online that this American-Chinese comedian named Wong tried to crash the Chinese market and his jokes fell completely flat, or at least something like that. Thanks for the post.

I'd say Chinese media will never "dominate" in the way that media for the US does. Chinese culture has never really been something that they have sought to export, while Americans and Western Europeans have.

Media, by definition, is a dominate factor in any society, whether it be carvings on a cave wall, or the latest edition of a local/national/wordwide newspaper.
