Metro is a great supermarket for imported food, the price is quite reasonable for imported food. There are five Metro stores in Beijing and here are the addresses:

1. Metro Jingshun Lu Store
111 Jingshun Lu, Chaoyang District (朝阳区京顺路111号)

2. Metro Dayangfang Lu Store
Near Dayangfang Lu, Chaoyang District (朝阳区大羊坊路附近)

3. Metro Jingshun Lu Shopping Mall
200 Meters west of Siyuanqiao Intersection on Jingshun Lu (京顺路四元桥向西200米)

4. Metro Shilihe Shopping Mall
Shibali Dian, Chaoyang District (朝阳区十八里店)

5. Metro Wanquanhe Store
1 Xinjiangongmen Lu, Haidian District (新建宫门路1号(近西苑中医院))

Just go to April Gourmet. The prices are usually on par with places like carrefour.

For most imported foods, Jenny Lou's (or Jenny Wang's as it seems to be called nowadays) is much cheaper than April Gourmet. For example, Post Pecan Nut cereal costs 32 rmb in Jenny Lou's while it costs 39 rmb in April Gourmet. I've been comparing their prices a lot and noticed that almost everything is 1-10 rmb more expensive at April's.

However, April's sale shelf sometimes has some good bargains. I picked up a brie and organic cheddar a while back for only 12 rmb and they recently sold an organic jiuce which was marked down from a staggering 80 rmb to 18 rmb. It's definitely worth it to keep your eyes on the bargain section, but go to Jenny's for non-sale items.

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
