In the last few days I noticed there are two different versions of the Answers section. I discovered the differences when I logged into eCc using my laptop one time, and then my handheld device another time. Here are a few of the differences I saw:
Answers of the Day are not the same for all users.
My laptop shows "Q: Environmental costs . . . .", which is a question that's about 20 weeks old.
My handheld shows "Q: Have Chinese couples learnt nothing?", which is a question that's about 9 weeks old.
Besides the fact that the Admin fell asleep at the job a long time ago, I noticed from other users' comments that they also see different Answers of the Day.
Some Answers and Comments are missing.
A recent Question asked: "Girlfriend [sic] family doesn't want my name on the house." (Yes, it's not really a question. Anyway.)
My laptops showed a lengthy answer by Monkey1, but that answer wasn't viewable on my handheld. Same for Englteachted's answer.
Viki87's answer and SpongeBob's comment show up on my handheld, but they aren't there on the laptop.
And all 4 of the comments posted by Ironman510 show up the handheld, but none of them are seen on the laptop.
Deleted Questions?
Viki87 recently posted a question: "Should I call it off?". It shows up on my handheld, but not on the laptop. The question went unanswered, and it was apparently deleted by the Admin. But why does it still show up on the handheld?
Other recent posts.
I could go on and on giving other examples of other disparities between the Latest Answers and Latest Questions, but that's not necessary. The point has been made. This is more of a public service announcement to the other users that what you see may not be the same as what the other users see in this Answers section. Your mileage may vary.
Getting to the Question . . . .
My guess is my use of different browser platforms is causing the different results I'm seeing on my laptop and handheld. Maybe one of you tech people have some insights about this.
Questions: Have you noticed there are different versions of the Answers sections? What do you think is causing that? What can be done to fix this problem?
Bonus Q: Besides arbitrarily deleting posts, is there a living and breathing Admin that is paying attention to this Answers section?
P.S. To further demonstrate my point, this question showed up immediately in the Latest Questions on my laptop, but not on my handheld.

You sure have a lot of time on your hands.

NZTeach, it doesn't take much to make an observation, dig around to root out some facts, analyze what there is, and write it up. I noticed the questions, answers, and comments were not the same depending on how I accessed this Answers section, and I wanted to know why. Other users also probably want to know their interactions at this website may vary, depending upon the device they use. If it's no interest to you, so be it. In any case, how I spend my free time should be of no concern to you. Right? How do you spend your free time? Oh, I know. You blog about your bowel movements. Kudos!

If "up" votes are an indication of anything then my bowel movements are far more interesting.

Up and Down votes don't reflect much in light of the number of views a discussion receives. A few ups or downs compared to hundreds of views is neglible and unreliable feedback. What's most important is whether the discussion provides reliable information and valuable insights on matters of interest to the users. A few thumbs down votes out of 300+ views are just friends saying hello. Don't let a few Up votes go to your head.
My guess is that one of your devices is on the .net verson of Ecc, while the other is on the .com version....
Jean.P:
Good guess, and you're almost right. My laptop and handheld were both logged into .com, and the discrepancies were there. But when I logged the handheld into .net the differences with the laptop logged into .com disappeared. Even if that makes technical sense in some twisted way, eCc is still showing two different versions of its Answers section to its users logged into .com.

This is why the tech guys at Ecc have to do his job for him
To make this clearer about what I see in the eCc Answers:
eChinacities.com (laptop) = eChinacities.net (handheld) they are the same
eChinacities.com (laptop) & eChinacities.com (handheld) are not the same
Have you noticed the same, or something else?
BHGAL:
similar with wechat.... laptop version and phone (smart?) versions are often different. Even what I type shows up different on my 2 devices. I kid you not! phone is the same as what I type. the laptop is like a translation of a translation.
You sure have a lot of time on your hands.

I checked in yesterday, posted something and ECC was basically dead. There had been pretty much nothing hapening here, no new posts.
Checking in just now I'm seeing a lot of posts that weren't there yesterday but looking at when they were posted, they were there, they just weren't showing up on my computer.
People are posting from the twilight zone.... (I've been watching TZ on youtube lately)
