Q: Why are Wu Mao so delusional?

And why do they not realize how bad they make China look? Do they actually believe the garbage they write? Or do they just go on and on doing it cause they think they're doing the nation a favour when, in reality, one Wu Mao post draws seven times the negative comments about China.

They are fed nationalistic drivel from the time they are young. And the ones that feel the need to go out and keep it going are the Wu Maos. They are the ones that never thought outside of the box.

What they dont realize is that they are just followers that will alwyas stay at the back of the pack... never will they be the leaders or innovators, just peons

I'm sure there are varying degrees of wu mao, from those who really believe what they write, to those who are just in it for the money. You can't just lump them all together like that. Give a little respect, they are hard working dudes...and maybe some dudettes, I don't know. They aren't paid to think.

Wu mao are no different than any other nationalistic commenters. Look around on US or European news sites and read the comments. There's stupid, ignorant, brainwashed hicks where ever you go. All are embarrassments to their countries.

GuilinRaf:

That is true. Go to the comments under a news article from any news site and you will see many absurd comments. And what is worse, these guys post their garbage for free!!:'-(

Excellent point about drawing negative remarks.
For every China is the greatest post here there is a flury of comments either flat out proving the question wrong with facts or people just complaining about China.
The irony is the intended purpose of these posts ends up having the opposite effect, and most of China's faults and weaknesses are exposed instead.

They are getting paid for the garbage they write.

And the foolish remarks they make and questions they ask gets all of our attention and keeps their posts going, and their propoganda in the lime light.

Bad publicity is still publicity.

The ones I like are the ones like 981, who try to bring up topics that China doesn't keep stats on, so that they can pretend they are the best at whatever the topic may be when, in reality, no one knows because the government won't talk about it.

I would think it is just a way to make a living. Most of the time their questions and answers look like they have been using the internet to come up with ideas that they either themselves don't know shit about or they want people to follow whatever they have been parroting since childhood in confined spaces. Needless to say most of them don't even know where Mt. Everest is.

To the WU MAOS: I will save you some time...Mt. Everest is in Nepal, which is in southwest of China.

They have been brainwashed for years which caused them to act the way they do now.
I actually find it hilarious how they come up with some crazy ideas to support their point of view and how they always pretend to be highly educated and well travelled non-Chinese.

nevermind:

Yeah, yet they're so ignorant they have no idea that anyone who is well traveled and educated can see right through them.

Well I want to give them some credit (hint, hint, send me a check so I can help you out).  I wlll say that that two thirds believe what they post because of the money. I wish there is a group that actually believe and is willing to defend said beliefs  on fair ground.
