Q: Why did you choose China over other Asian countries?
Guess this mostly applies to teachers, as opposed to people sent by their companies.
Why did you choose mainland China? You could have made more money in South Korea, in Taiwan, probably had a better quality of life...so why?
Its always exciting to experience a new country and language. I lived in South Korea for 2 and a half years and loved it. But when I needed to get a new job, I decided it was time for a change. Learning chinese is something that is good, plus the country is so vast, there are always new places to visit and see some awesome scenery. Over the last few years, Ive lived in good places and bad places, but its always been an adventure....
However, I still plan on staying in some other countries in asia at some point too.
let me help the answer
1.. China has way beautiful girls (hence: no girls back home)
2.. China is the world 2nd largest economy country, will be No.1 next year. (hence: business English needs)
3.. China has the world most population, it's easy to hide in the crowd (hence: criminals)
nevermind:
Localla, yo're not fooling anyone, you're obviously Chinese. And, FYI. Chinese girls are nothing compared to Japan and Quebec, Canada.
Also, IF China becomes the No 1 economy, it won't be for at least 20 years. Stop buying into government lies.
AdrianG4:
Chinese girls are way sexier than Japanese girls. The 50 or so ethnic races that define this country go a long way in making this country have some of the most beautiful women in the world.

"my English got a rust....how to edit my posts?" Maybe don't even bother. Just type in your native Chinese.
In my field it's easier to get gigs here. I'd rather be in Seoul or Tokyo, but who wouldn't be?
Northern China gives me an opportunity to continue to coach and play hockey. What good 'ol, hockey lovin', Canadian boy wouldn't want that? Not many places here can provide that.
Get paid to do what you love..in a place where your national sport is at it's infancy..that's the answer!
I thought it would be easier to find a job. I also want to learn some Mandarin. Eventually I will move somewhere else, China just happens to be first on my list.
I looked at Thai and Philippines, seemed too sleazy, Tiawan, Singapore, I knew nothing about, Viet Nam/ Laos just seemed scarey to me. Oh yeah China kinda big , maybe.
My friends and I used to throw darts at a map sometimes to see where we'd go for a bike run. Kinda hard not to land one in China.
Because China is the only country to be a rockstar without being a rocker. They freaking believe all the crap you tell.
i can put 10,000us into savings eacch year. if someone tells me i can do that in taiwan or soth korea, thailand or the phils i'm there in a heart beat. (and teach university) i really think this is one of the worst asian countries
My wife is from China. We tried living in the US, she didn't like it, so we moved here. Simple.
After college graduation, didn't really care where I ended up, just wanted a job in the education field. I applied for jobs home and abroad.
Originally tried for South Korea, but the recruiting company wasn't friendly and needed the paperwork much quicker than I could get it. They were also purely over the phone/internet.
My next try was China, and the recruiting was extremely friendly and understanding. This recruiter was in person, and seemed like she was self-employed, very friendly.
Reasons I chose China:
1) I wanted to experience a different culture.
2) I prefer Chinese food over other Asian cuisines, especially Sichuan and Hunan food.
3) I studied Mandarin in college, and hence offers me a great opportunity to enhance my language skills. This will prove greatly beneficial to me in the future I hope.
4) China has the biggest economy in Asia, and offers a wealth of business and entrepeneurial opportunities.
5) I now have a Chinese girlfriend who I love. I didn't know her before I came but now she is probably my biggest motivation for staying here.
6) I make roughly 1,800 USD a month....I can live very comfortably and save nearly a $800 USD a month even though I have college loans to pay.
Here are some reasons I wouldn't pick China:
1) Many of the people here are rude and Chinese bosses suck.
2) Business here is not straightforward and nothing is ever 100% clear in the office.
3) The pollution and traffic are miserable.
As a teacher, I make more in China than I ever could in either South Korea or Taiwan. I am saving 20,000 US each year easily, more than I was ever able to do in the States. The economic opportunities are plentiful. The girls, of course, are the most beautiful in the world. I enjoy drinking the various teas as well.
China was the farthest place I could go from my ex-wife, who lives in Florida.
