You'll see them on the subway or wherever: there are two crinkly old walnuts that they are holding in their palm that they spin around in a circle. The walnuts seem to lacquered, and are shiny; they are not "fresh out of the shell". They're walnuts because they are wrinkly like a tiny brain.
Is this some kind of religious thing like how some folks will idly count beads with their thumb? Are walnuts associated with longevity? Is this a hard nut to crack?

Er...two in the hand is better than one in your bush?

It is an exercise to roll two balls in your hand. You can 'easily' break walnut with squeezing your hand with two nuts in it. You can't break single walnut in your palm.
Scandinavian:
the exercise is good for dexterity and brain function after a stroke
icnif77:
Massaging palm(s), something to do with acupuncture points. Relaxing!…. in that line.
Scandinavian:
probably that too, but I was at a VIP hospital ward for stroke victims and everybody there was playing with their nuts
icnif77:
I wasn't sure, if true. Lowering 'blood pressure & heart beat'.
Scandinavian:
maybe that too, but it is a basic hand exercise that will help the brain recover and help people gain their normalcy, similar to this http://www.hecklerspray.com/richard-hammond-saved-from-death-by-some-lego/20065469.php
How come I posted a story about people playing with their nuts and it gets deleted yet Matty can do it?
Scandinavian:
it must have something to do with the size of the nuts
icnif77:
There are several types of nuts -ters. You didn't specify 'wal' or 'no wall' nuts. Can't beat M.'s 'guanxi', can you?
