Q: Why does my chinese employer need me to write them a resignation letter if I quit?
My employer has audio of the conversation we had where I said I wanted to quit after the manager was yelling at me when I was asking about my taxes and being asked to do duties not listed in my contract.

It's quite common to write a resignation letter before quitting the job, though it is not listed in the contract.
