I believe i haz never seen an act of criminality for as long i've been settler here. How is it that large cities have zero criminality, compared to 'Merica (the big ones, of course)?
?What kind of criminality u want to experience?
I thought foreigners in China think Chinese r all criminals~
its because people get prosecuted even without doing any crime(human rights activists) , just imagine what happens when they commit one .
I don't want to experience no criminality, I just wondered how authorities make China a safe place, even with very large population. It is something other coutaries could take example of.
Guns are banned and penalties are high (death). Those two alone are big factors.
But most important really is the mentality. People in China love gossip, they lose to stare, but very rarely will they interfere in other people's business, which carries over and can partly explain low crime.
I also think control of the media in not reporting violent crimes may also play a role in our (and Chinese people's) perception of crime in China.
Here's an article written on the topic.
Your thought is a little off. The fact is, the government controls the paper and news. Crime isn't publicized and when it is, it's in small amounts. The criminals that do get caught are because of the people knowing of their activity and didn't get bribed to keep it quiet. Criminal activity is all around you. See no evil, here no evil there is no evil LOL
