Q: Winter electricity bill cap?

I heard some places in Beijing you can get a refund if you use more than a certain amount of electricity for heating, is this true?

Heating is provided by the government. The amount is paid by your employer, or by your home owner. When the heat kicks in, you won't have any choice in the matter. It will run 24x7 whether you like it or not.

A:Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever foreigners do. I spent 15 years in China but I wouldn't say there are that many don'ts....Don't assume that many people speak English though and learn some Chinese. Don't speak much about politics unless you want to praise Chinese system. -- Natalie363
