Q: Work Permit for the UK

Hi,

I am back in the UK but my gf will be joining me in a couple of months. I was just wondering if anyone knew how easy it was to get her a work permit? Has anybody experienced this at all? She has a degree and a good solid work background in China. Can anyone tell me the best way to go around it? Will she need a sponsor before leaving China? I know for a fact it's not going to be as easy as it was for me heading over to China and teaching for 2 years.

Thanks for your help Smile

What can she do,that a u.k. citizen can't.If the answer is nothing, then it will be very difficult.Do you own your own home,do you have funds to cover the cost of her stay, you say girlfriend, what if you split up who pays? The paperwork for a 4 week visa, plus married 7 years is rather difficult, over the last year, new border laws.
