Q: Would you let go the money if…
I was walking on the sidewalk and while pulling out my cell phone heard a ting sound of my .5元 falling on the ground, Natural response to get down and pick it up... but!! Then I saw it... merely 10 inches away, somebody’s slimy brownish green “throat fluid”!… and left the wumao at the place it was. It made me wonder what if it was a note and of a bigger denomination (knowing virtually the whole city is covered with it)… would you let it go?
My theory is that anything that has been handled by hundreds, if not thousands of people is going to be filthy. It falling on the ground can't make THAT much difference.

Anything worth the same value as any coin in China - no. Well, 1kuai coin I would - if the ground doesn't look too skanky.
