I like the one with seeds and nuts held together with some kind of sweet syrup, although my family know I like it so I usually end up with 10 of the damned things!
I really liked the red bean mooncake. Is there a chocolate one? I'd totally try that.
mooncakes taste like glop.
glop (noun) thick, gummy cardboardish glop.
synonym: non-edible thick paste.
Buy a bunch, and try a bit of each. Some are terribly, but one worth mentioning is the black sesame one.
I also like the egg ones.
I never liked mooncakes, but yesterday I tried one that is OK.
Pineapple filling.
Sweet like hell, but edible even for such a "mooncakes non-lover" like me
I like the chocolate and ice cream ones~ you can buy them in Haagen-Dazs~
dandmcd:
I'm sure ice cream and chocolate filled mooncakes is a Chinese tradition, right?
hailey:
Haagen-Dazs has ice cream moon cakes! chocolate outside, ice cream inside! i dont like traditional mooncakes, but i like this one! you can have try!
There are some with different nuts, in my opinion they win over the egg ones.
