Q: Dating sites for Chinese women?

I have a Chinese female friend, known her 3 years, that asked me about finding her a boy friend. I suggested a dating site, but I don't know what is a good one. Any sugestions? I don't know anyone crazy enough to set her up with.

Chinese-blow-links is one. I'm not sure, 2nd word might be 'love'angelor 'glow'. See Yahoo-gle for more.

I have 8888 points now.

What's her preferred "target" audience? Chinese, non-Chinese or doesn't care?

I met my wife initially on plenty of fish (www.pof.com). It's an English language site, free & with good search functions.

Dateinasia.com?

As Hotwater said earlier it depends on what her preference is when it comes to a boyfriend. The above link should be good for finding a foreign boyfriend although she would need to be careful to avoid the scammers.

Hotwater:

Plenty of Fish & Dateinasia both have foreigners on them. I've used both & met my wife, as I said, on POF

Chineselovelinks is a good place to start.  I met many Chinese girls a few years ago when I started looking for people to correspond with and improve my Mandarin; There are many chancers, you just need to work through them.  Eventually met my fiancee there some 4 years ago and switched off my membership.

If you're a westerner, don't use them. Many Chinese women simply pay people, often men, to talk to you and start a relationship with you so they can get a visa/passport/claim spousal abuse. It was all over the news a while back. So you're basically talking to guys 99% of the time on these sites. If they won't show themselves on webcam whenever you want, it's likely they're scamming you.

This is reverse, girl looking for stupid foreigners.

Most foreign men in China went on dating site are looking for sex seriously.
I was on some dating sites(I even paid some money)and I got lots of white men asking me for having sex with.As many foreigners in China only for short time and some just want to have a fun time here.
I suggest her go fishing in the street or whatever public places.I am trying it now and it is more reliable to approach a man in real life and get to know him I guess. At least she can see if this guy is the type of looking guy she likes before approach him.
Well I havn't catched a man I want yet.But I catched a musician friend.So I still got something-A new friend who is a singer.Ha...
But if she is in small cities. Then opps, surely there won't have lots of foreign men.She has to try a lot on dating sites until meet someone good or she has to move city. She honna make scarifice if she wants to get something.Ha

Stiggs:

Yeah, most guys are probably looking for sex on the dating websites. But that's the reason most guys look for a girlfriend anywhere, marriage just happens when you fall for a girl you were trying to sleep with before.

Disclaimer: I just read that and it sounds pretty cynical.... not entirely true...  wherever I said 'most' just substitute with 'some' or 'a lot of ' .

A: No, it's not allowed to work under RP at 2nd job! I'd say, Z visa
A:No, it's not allowed to work under RP at 2nd job! I'd say, Z visa/RP sponsor can have an objections to your part-time job. I did the same at my English teaching in China and elsewhere, butT ... I casually mentioned at my prime job, some kindergarten or another school asked me to work with them part-time. Then, my Q: "Is that permitted?" ...  Answer from RP sponsor was always "Yes, but you can't be late or miss the classes at our school ..." with my reply: "No, our work schedule has a priority, and I'll arrange classes at kindergarten only in my free time." When I cleared that, I was undertaking any extra teaching hours at other schools and private students in my free time.Sometimes, teachers at my prime job asked me if I'm willing to have some extra classes elsewhere.I accepted after the talk with School's principal. I suggest, you test the felling at your Z/RP sponsor and once you see they don't object, you can work at 2nd job. Keeping your 2nd job as a secret from your employer won't work, 'cause you're laowai and Chinese know exactly what you do in your free time. However, despite your employer's agreement for extra work, you are still in violation of Chinese Labour law, and even if your sponsor agrees to your extra work, you can still get in trouble, because it's clearly written (somewhere ... ) that under Z/WP, one can work only at the Z-sponsor and nowhere else. Penalties ... I'd say, there won't be any warnings and you'll be required to exit China in short Exit time.It never happened to me, so I can't really advice how is when manure hits the fan ...  -- icnif77
