How to ask for pay raise from Canadian boss?
I will just wait a little bit, and show my value, if he won‘t say anything I will go to his office, and tell him what I want, also let him know there is a much better offer waiting for me. If he offers 500rmb raise I will pack my stuff and go to that better offer.
I think it works for all bosses, if they see ur value, u don't need to say anything, if they ignore u, find a better boss.
First thing you should do is evaluate the market out there - see how much people are making in competing companies for the same job descriptions as yours. If it's been years you're working in the same place, you may also find that the average salary has changed and you've been left behind (or vice verca). As a general rule of thumb, though, you need to know what the market norm is before putting your foot in your mouth by asking your boss for exorbitant amounts
Second, prepare what you're gonna say. Why do you deserve a raise? Your boss might be very willing to accept, but if you can't justify why you deserve it - if you can't make your case - then he or she's got no reason to give you anything. In the same vein, you might want to prepare counter-arguments. After all, your boss won't necessarily agree with everything you say
Lastly, adapt whatever characteristics your boss has to how the negotiations will go. Some bosses are very open, others less so. You can't really just lump all Chinese bosses together. As long as you show respect and you actually have effort backing your claim for more moola, you should be fine
Get off the fukin' keyboard! Are you retarded or something?
