Q: How do you get over your BCD's?

I seem to have a BCD every few months and struggle to overcome it each time. I am pretty certain it isn't just me with this problem.

My wife always asks if "Uncle" is in town, bless her heart.

What strategies do you employ to overcome this or do you just ride it out as I do most of the time?

Buy beer.

Drink beer.

Smash beer bottle.

Repeat as needed.

With me, it largely depends on the circumstances e.g. extent of the BCD, my emotion at the time, whether I have other issues to deal with, even sometimes where I am or the weather outside.

The solutions can be; relax and have a beer, go and have a massage, listen to some music or watch a movie and sometimes even to take it out on other Chinese people such as my office staff when I want to let off steam regarding a bit of blatant dumbassery.

Whatever the case, I eventually get over it until the next BCD comes along.

Today, I was in ya-yi's chair for 2.5 hours straight. Cleaning of the root canal. I was ready for an extraction, and then 'Marathon Man script' happened....

I'm not sure if that's BDC, but I'm certainly doing a lot for my healthy.angel

It really hurts today. I was so in pain while leaving ya-yi, that one little kid started to cry as soon as he saw me passing-by toward the exit.

Kids generally smile or have an 'inquiry' look on their faces, when they see me.angel

I do what Spider does except for smashing the bottles.  For the past few years I've stuck to 500ml cans.  I did buy bottles for a couple of years when first coming here and every few weeks the ayi would summon up her offsider and give them to him.  Cans are more convenient than bottles but I must admit I do prefer drinking from a bottle.

Not quite as satisfying slamming a can against a wall/floor/door/anything.

Cans are safer than bottles. Less chance of the contents being copies.

You don't have to drink the stuff; it's all about having something to destroy.

Drink!  And it's becoming all too frequent, hence my retreat home after the Festival.

I used to drink till I realised it was that gave me the bcd's. Now the main cause of a bcd is my mcw, or 'mad Chinese wife'. Whatever the cause my favourite release is to pick up my shotgun and blow a few motherfuckers heads off. Nothing like playing a bit of Xbox when you need to unwind.

I go for a jog, punch into a boxing bag, when I reach that point from the accumulation of little things, I need to release my anger into something, preferably not people.

I seem to have a lot of those here in Zhongshan as well. I guess it has to do with the quality of the people being a lot lower than in neighboring cities.

I always found Zhongshan Ren okay, except the owner of the website of the same name!

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
