Watch popular series in English, with English subtitles. Watch episodes once without stopping, even if you didn't get something. Do research about the things you didn't get afterwards. Pick series you enjoy, of course. Read things in English on Internet, like articles and news.

I even caught Australian and NZ slang watching series doing that
