I have been in Shanghai for 5 years, no bf, crappy job situation, no money.
I feel like my life is so boring and frustrating.
Shall I just quit my job and rest for a while? I feel depressing.
Maybe you should try increasing your skill set; there are all kinds of free online courses that a person can take.
Maybe pick up a new hobby? Running, archery, painting, gardening, baking... It is possible to meet people while doing these things.
Maybe find an animal companion?
Yes, you probably need some kind of change in your life, but quitting your job is probably one of the last things that you should do (at the moment). Shanghai is a bit expensive, so why not first make sure that you will be moving th to something better before you quit?
Blondie_:
hasn't she been given this sort of advice again and again and again over the last few years?
what makes you think that she will actually take responsibility for her life and make a change?
Viki can't even go a week without posting about herself, and like many of the Chinese posters, doesn't make any meaningful contribution to others problems or exhibit understanding of others.

I know you are joking. I am not mad at you, only mad at this fucking stupid company. Again and again I didn't get paid on time. I decide to not ask for the salary this time and see how long will take that morton to give me salary.
Dude, this is gonna be hard advice to take,,, and I'll probably get blocked or whatever they call it,,, but u chinese need to start over from scratch. now look,,, i'm not exactly dumb, I know starting over from scratch and calling it Day One is pretty much impossible, but it's what u need. China has way too many people with basically no education,,,,, so, they will work for a few kuai a day. So, u get employers who say I just won't pay them, or pay less than agreed, and certainly not pay on time. If they don't like it, fk 'em, million other starving nongmin will take their place.
SOOOOOO,, u need a Martyr,, someone who can somehow manage multi-media coverage and brings to light the injustices that they are suffering at the hands of the employer and the china legal system. But then,, to get this shit getting any kind of notice it needs Drama!
I'll let u figure out the next step.
* any old timers here remember when govt representative went to take nongmins land,,, and nongmin came behind him and gave him a bit of the mattock from behind? Split his skull like a ripe watermelon. It was caught on video. jeez, what a sight to see. I admired the old fk for that personally.
