Q: I need/want advice about China Mobile modems

I have been using this thing for a couple years...... never been stable......  finally somebody tells me that it is probably my modem....the free thing that comes with the subscription for a year............. is it possible that I have been fighting this internet connection for a couple years, because they "gave" me a shitty modem?

I did a remote connection with my VPN outfit and they suggested that it was the modem......  our remote connection was very unstable.....  like my daily routine...................  I do have a wifi issue with my computer, If I am plugged in, no problem.... my  smartphone connects, no problem..............  so I may have an issue with my computer, not much doubt....  but the flipping modem????   few years old.....  I like the guy that comes to tend to it, and he told me last time....he does not "fix computers"  ...  but my computer has zero issues except for VPN and wifi access together  .... I think?

if at all interested in solving my dilemma....  please call ....  guy is coming to look tomorrow afternoon..3rd time.. but this time I want to have an arsenal of what about this, what about that, what about i change ISP's, what about you fix the damn thing!!!

would it help? if I sent you my laptop....... can you fix it?

please give some simple ammo

some modems, router, as the one we have from China telecom, can not handle more device at time. some are not VPN friendly, specially those made in china. you know , regulations ...

with your ISP try to negotiate better router, with updated firmware and better connection speeds.

probably is a shit modem, either because its a cheap model or a lemon. I'm supposed to get 50mpbs and for over a year it was testing around 3-5. I finally had the initative to complain and the replaced the box with a different one and now get 45.

I dont even have to predownload stuff anymore, the apple TV can stream HD shows in real time it's awesome.

Say your box is broken, demand a new one.

have had zero problems with our China Telecom modem.... each time I've been to their office I see they are handing out different models, if China Mobile is anything like that, go ask if you can have a new one, possibly you'd need to upgrade your subscription.
