Q: just another little FYI thing for VPN's

sending this now, because asking for more will probably get me nowhere .... asking for 6 weeks.

but just so you know...  a couple e-mails and a few minutes can save a bit of money.

Jerome, Apr 15, 11:20:

Dear BHGAL

I'm afraid there's little that we can do about the price right now. But we'll be happy to give you a 1 month free service should you decide to renew your subscription.

Regards,
Jerome

I have been moderately satisfied with your service this past year.I am concerned with the rise of the US dollar and thus the increase in cost for your service to everybody outside the USA.I think this is not a good thing.
I am going to consider for another week or so, before my current contract with you expires. ... it is a 20% increase in cost to me.... a more flexible pricing package is in order.
bill it in my dollars (CAN) and I will redo it in a minute....... bill it in Chinese RMB and I would renew because then it would be much more consistent.

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in our service.

We would like to let you know that the prices are in US dollars and not Canadian dollars.

We do offer a 30-day money back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with the VPN service or if it simply doesn't work well for you, then just contact us within the first 30 days of your subscription and we'll grant you a full refund.

Hope this helps and please do get back to us if you have other questions.

Regards,
Jan

I recently bought a book from a UK distributor and was disappointed to find it had cost me $45, instead of what I thought it was...$35.  US/Aust differential.

I was then more disappointed when the book never arrived.  After getting in contact with the UK company they generously dispatched me another copy.  When that book, too, never arrived they reimbursed my account.  I thanked them very much and suggested they might as well abandon free delivery to this wretched country.

BHGAL:

delivery here is sometimes difficult.

I always make sure that the postal code is OK  ..... they get it in the right general location.

then it is a phone number  ... so that normally takes a chinese speaker to help.

since I have done this, I have not lost mail..... before I was here and just sending stuff to my wife...... she got maybe half of it.     postal code and phone number!!!!

I've always had them put both English/Pinyin and Chinese on the package.

I had a book arrive from Australia in 7 days, yet a parcel from Shanghai took 5! WTF is that about??

And, yeah, right now, the AUD sucks badly against everything!!! It has for months. I think it's the Abbott effect...

I guess I must have been delusional when I bought this particular book.  It was titled 'Busting the Myth of Confucius', or some similar thing.

The dickhead at the post office said it wasn't delivered because how could anyone in China understand the address.  I then wrote the address on his notepad and explained that it was  in Chinese.  Pinyin is Chinese, isn't it?
