Perhaps I am missing something here, if you work at a school, they have an office or school location, and people know him there. If none of that is true, it is called fraud and your friend does not need to worry about any visa in a jail.

my friend has gotton his visa from that company but works in another city.the problem is he did not visit his office, which provides him visa.the police asked him,its weird that you work in this company but u dont know the office loaction.

I think if you go to jail you have to fill out the paperwork for a "J" visa. You'll never get out of jail if you overstay your jail visa.

The school may be using an agent to obtain a visa and foreign teacher and the agent arranges the visa, the agent and school will have to supply some documents to back up the story ie.contracts, invoices, etc., it is conceivable that an agent places you in a job by email, phone calls, and you never met them, if the agent is in a different province though and the school has no business there, well, you have a big problem. Training schools that have many locations do send teachers to cities they don't have visa for with the caution to say "your a there temporary to train other teachers" but not permanently, some cities allow this, others want your PSB visa to be moved to the local office. Some local PSB will be glad your visa is somewhere else in case you cause problems the other city and school gets the blame and loss of face because you were never supposed to be there, on the other hand, some offices want you to move the visa because they want the control and don't like another city or government entity involved in their interests, local power versus big brother power.
If he's anything like you and here teaching English, he doesn't deserve a work visa.

Hope that you are enjoying leaving your really crude answers all over this forum. Time to sober up. Try AA, or Heroin Anonymous, or AIIDS Anonymous, or something, but really your ten cents crude remarks are way over the top....then again, you could apply for a job at the White House.

I think englteachted was referring to his English in the question. Kids should learn the word "yesterday" not "last day" and "failed to do" to end a sentence. I teach as a substitute for expats on vacations or leave as a favor, so I don't claim to be an expert but his writing could be better.

Shows some respect to Ted, he's emperor level on this site.

Englteached is just fishing to post useless doo doo everywhere for points.
There is something missing here. Is your friend working at a different company than the one that sponsored his working permit?
By Chinese law, you can only work at the exact office address that is written on your working permit. Even if your company has several offices throughout the city, you can only work at this very specific one, not withstanding occasional events and meetings in the other offices.
The new system was designed to target expats working in different locations rather than the actual visa address. I understand the address verification system very clearly now. So I think your friend needs a backup plan. Usually when someone says "my friend " it's usually just their second personality. I myself have been many people.
Iv'e had a few Z visas in my time. They indicated that I have one entry within 90 days of the issue date. So if your friend has had this visa for 2 years then I suppose he/she will be fined, jailed, and extradited.
