Tried to report several threads for the usual spamming over the past few days. Captchas are not visible. Is this happening to anyone else?

You must hit 'abuse' button to see captcha, I guess.
I don't know if it's working, 'cause I never hit 'abuse' since I'm here.
You could c&p thread's weblink with your complaint comment to 'Contact Us' instead 'abuse' button.
icnif77:
Ohh yeah, I forgot! Phil suggested 'Contact Us' few days ago, and I tried and saw that blank page.
Maybe you could have look where 'Admin' was posting, and send him PM. There was thread (some 4 pages back) about redeem points something. Admin posted reply there.
icnif77:
This one:
http://answers.echinacities.com/question/are-we-still-redeeming-points
buTT...it doesn't work. You can't PM him.
Look if you have any posts of Admin in your message folder (like I do), and send him c&p message as PM.
If you don't have it, you can try and send message through mine:
http://answers.echinacities.com/user/88440/messages/inbox/28776
You can use mine, just load him up through there......
Sinobear:
It would be much simpler if: the damn "features" of the site worked like they're supposed to; and, if the damn admin worked like it's supposed to
icnif77:
Yeah, I want an extra rain coat, because of all this sloppiness.......
Hello Guys,
We will look into the problems you reported. Thanks,
Admin Cat
sorrel:
does that mean you are going to do something about trolls who:
post on topics that have nothing to do with China
Post with suggestions about killing Chinese people (now changed to 'punching' I see)
ScotsAlan:
Sorrel. The killing Chinese post was changed at my suggestion.
I think, rather than depend on a senior power to defend our rights, self moderation more suits the message we "free" people are trying to convey.
We need to educate, not ostracize.
Banning people because we do not agree with them sends the wrong message.
Even the spam can be fun. It quickly falls down the rungs of attention into oblivion.
icnif77:
I don't get it why we can't talk between us about 'open teaching position'? Spam? I posted once, for one (good) position at my School.
How could I get that out differently? Posting on Jobs tag?
Why would I do that, if we talk here about many other things concerning China?
However, I got reply from FT (couple), and that made me happy!
ScotsAlan:
Good point icnif.
If one of us know a job, we should be allowed to ask if anyone is interested.
The spamming agents are in too much of a rust to get a result. They do a few posts then start spamming. The frequent posters should be allowed to tell other people of possible opportunities. It is supposed to be a sort of networking site after all.
sorrel:
@ScotsAlan,
TBH when a new poster arrives online and begins by making vague unsubstantiated allegations of racism against other posters, does not answer a direct question until pressed and then only answers when someone else points out the holes in his/her comments, and then posts a 'question' inciting people to agree with his/her desire to kill Chinese people: i think the last one qualifies for the term 'troll'.
There has been enough trolling on this site since the start of the year to detect the BS.
ScotsAlan:
@sorrel
Is your venting more worthy than his.
Are you making a judgement without a trial?
On a basic level, do you not believe him.
That is my key point. I trust people.
Hello Folks,
The problem has been fixed now. Please report any problem you may encounter as soon as possible so that we can ask our tech guy to fix.
Best,
Admin Cat
